The Kurds of Iran: A Look at their Past, Present and Future
The Middle East Institute hosted Carol Prunhuber, my colleague Sharif Behruz who works as the PDKI’s U.S. representative and my brother Idris Ahmedi to speak about the political, social and human rights status of Iran’s Kurds Below you can watch videos from the discussion.

Great lecture, I will definitely order the book about D. Qasmlou. I think that Idris part was great! Its so typical that a Persian (referring to the woman from VOA)must make a comment like that, why should we as Kurds support the Green Movement without any preconditions, we tried that and look where it got us.
I think it is strange that more people don’t comment on your blog, I visit your blog every day and would like to discuss different issues with you and your readers, will you answer our questions? Why doesn’t the PDKI urge the Kurdish people to take to the streets when they are given the opportunity?
I remember in 2005 or 2006 when there were large demonstrations in Iranian Kurdistan, the PDKI issued a statement urging people to stop demonstrating, why did you do that?
