Two Kurdish youths by the names of Hassan Yousfi and Qadir Yousfi was arrested by Iran’s Intelligence Service “Itlaat” a couple of days ago, and both of the young men were sentenced to prison in a speedy trail in the Kurdish city of Shno yesterday.

Kurdish students at the university of Urmye are currently on a strike to protest against the living conditions at the university dormitories after that a gas tube exploded and killed a Kurdish student by the name of Ehsan Akbari three days ago.

A young Kurdish man by the name of Hawar Qadri stepped on a land mine yesterday in a village outside the Kurdish city of Sardasht, and was seriously injured. Several Kurdish civilians die or get injured every year by stepping on land mines.
