Kurdish students on strike in Urmye after that a explosion killed a student
Kurdish students at the university of Urmye are currently on a strike to protest against the living conditions at the university dormitories after that a gas tube exploded and killed a Kurdish student by the name of Ehsan Akbari three days ago.
Ehsan Akbari was first injured by the explosion but died later at the hospital in Urmye, watch video below.
The students have clashed with security forces and at least two of the students have been arrested. The students became extremely angry when officials at the university did not pay any respect to the dead student. The officials reportedly urged the student to return to their classes and said that the incident wasn’t a big problem and that it was common that accidents like this happened, which made the Kurdish students furious.
The students are planning on staging protests tomorrow at 12.30.
