Increased military presence in Sine

Iran has increased its military presence in the Kurdish city of Sine (Sanandaj) since the execution of the Kurdish actvist Ehsan Fatahian.

After that Ehsan Fatahian was executed a large number of Kurds gathered in Sine to demonstrate against the execution, at least 4 Kurdish students have been arrested and another 7 have been injured.

There are also reports of agents of Iran’s Intelligence Service “Itlaat” trying to infiltrate Kurdish student groups by posing as Kurdish activists.
