Information about several Kurdish political prisoners court cases and their sentences
The following individuals have been sentenced to prison by the first court instance in Saghez and are waiting for their cases to be reviewed by the second court instance of the Islamic Republic:
1. Hemn Azeri, sentenced to 1 year in prison by the Revolutionary court in Saghez for alleged affiliation to a Kurdish opposition party.
2. Khalid Azizi, sentenced to 1 year in prison by the Revolutionary court in Saghez for alleged affiliation to a Kurdish opposition party and anti regime activites.
3. Hemn Fatmi, sentenced to 3 years in prison by the Revolutionary court in Sagez for membership in a Kurdish opposition party.
4. Daod Riahi, sentenced to 2 years in prison by the Revolutionary court in Saghez for alleged affiliation with a Kurdish opposition party.
5. Mohammed Herdengi, sentenced to 1 year in prison by the Revolutionary court in Saghez for affiliation with a Kurdish opposition party.
The following individuals have appealed their first sentence and received their second sentence by the second court instance of he Islamic Republic:
1. Sherko Moarefi, sentenced to death by hanging by the Revolutionary court in Saghez on charges of “Moharbe” (war against God). Appeal denied by the second court instance of the Islamic Republic. Related post
2. Mohammed Azizi, sentenced to 6 years in prison by the Revolutionary court in Saghez for membership in a Kurdish opposition party. Appeal denied by the second court instance of the Islamic Republic
3. Shwane Razai, sentenced to 3 years in prison by the Revolutionary court in Saghez for supporting a Kurdish opposition party. Appeal denied by the second court instance of the Islamic Republic.
4. Ahoin Moradweisi, sentenced to 1 years in prison by the Revolutionary court in Saghez for affiliation with a Kurdish opposition party. Appeal denied by the second court instance of the Islamic Republic.
5. Asadollah Doniai, sentenced to 6 months in prison by the Revolutionary court in Saghez for affiliation with a Kurdish opposition party. Appeal denied by the second court instance of the Islamic Republic.
6. Amir Rostami, sentenced to 1 years in prison by the Revolutionary court in Saghez for affiliation with a Kurdish opposition party. Appeal denied by the second court instance of the Islamic Republic.
7. Behroz Shirsaheb, sentenced to 2 years in prison by the Revolutionary court in Saghez for affiliation with a Kurdish opposition party. Appeal denied by the second court instance of the Islamic Republic. Shirsaheb is currently free after paying bail moony; he is going to begin to serve his sentence later this month.
