17 Kurdish students expelled from the University of Zanjan
During the last couple of months, several Kurdish university students have been expelled from different universities all around Iran. Students of the University of Zanjan report that 17 Kurdish students had been notified that they would not be able to register for the academic year.The students said that they were given no reason for being refused to attend the university.
It is worth mentioning that five students of the University of Zanjan was sentenced to a year in prison after that they had complained about being subjected to different kinds of ill-treatment at the hands of one of the heads of the university.
