Last week a large number of members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard attacked the Kurdish city of Newsod, resulting in a clash with the local population. During the following days the Revolutionary Guard arrested several men in the city.

Iran’s intelligence Service (Itlahat) has during the past couple of days arrested a large number of Kurds from the villages of Tabe, Gergesk, Konelajan, Ziwe and Kasore, all located near the Kurdish city of Pirnashar.

An Islamic court in the Kurdish city of Saghez sentenced Eghbal Zarai to 10 years of prison a couple of days ago.
Zarai was charged with being a member of a Kurdish opposition group and he was not allowed to have any legal representation at the court during the proceeding.
