God doesn’t exist here!

In a TV program called “God doesn’t exist here” Kurdish victims of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s brutality testifies about the physical and psychological torture and sexual abuse they have been subjected to.

One of the victims describes how he was arrested on dubious charges and how he was tortured for several days. After a couple of days the prison guards blindfolded him and took him into a room in which the judge that sentenced him to prison was sitting. The man describes how he started shouting that he was innocent and that as God was his witness he had done nothing wrong. The Judge started to laugh and asked the Kurdish man to read a sign posted on the wall behind the judge. The Kurdish mans states that the sign read; “God doesn’t exist here!”.

A Kurdish woman testifies that here father had been helping the regime since the revolution of 1979 and that a woman from the Iranian intelligence agency (Itlahat) approached here and asked here to help them collect information on a Kurdish opposition group. When the Kurdish woman refused they started to harass here on a daily basis. Eventually the Itlahat took here in for questioning, the Kurdish woman describes how they started to beat here and how they insisted that she do as they say, when she still refused the woman from the Itlahat forced here to drink a glass of liquid that made here unconscious. When the Kurdish woman got here conscious back the woman from the Itlahat showed here a video in which several soldiers were raping the Kurdish women. The Itlahat officer said that they would send the video to the Kurdish woman’s family and spread the video in here home town.

From then on the Kurdish woman did what ever the Itlahat asked of here, eventually they asked the Kurdish woman to infiltrate the Peshmerga forces of our party, the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan, and to work hard in order to get a job as close to our party leader, Mustafa Hijri, as possible. When our party’s intelligence agency (EMNIET) did a background check on the woman she confessed that she worked for the Itlahat and that she had been given orders to try to poison Mustafa Hijri.

Another man describes how he had been politically active and due to his affiliation with a Kurdish opposition group the Itlahat had arrested him. At first he had refused to confess, even during torture. Consequently the Itlahat had brought his mother, his wife and his brother’s wife to the prison. The man describes how several soldiers started to rape and beat his brother’s wife, his own wife and his mother in front of him. Eventually the Kurdish man agreed to help the Itlahat with whatever they wanted. The Kurdish man was asked to join our party’s Peshmerga Forces and to try to get a job in Peziresh (an agency that interrogates people who want to become a Peshmerga and that gives security clearances within the party) in order to study how the Peziresh works and to try to find Peshmergas that works for the Peziresh that could be persuaded or forced to work for the Itlahat.

Two other Kurdish men describe how they were forced to work for the Itlahat after that they had been subjected to tortured and rape by several soldier at gunpoint or when they were unconscious.
