Updates from Kurdistan – Younis Aqaian executed
According to information from the city of Urmye the Islamic Republic of Iran has executed Younis Aqaian.
Aqarian has spent five years in prison accused of being a source of public unrest. Younis was arrested five years ago in the Kurdish city of Miandoaw after that he and three of his friends clashed with members of the Revolutionary Guard. Aqarian’s friends were sentenced to 13 years of imprisonment each.
According to reports from the Kurdish city of Selasi Bawejan members of the Revolutionary Guard fired on a group of Kurds, injuring two of them. The two men’s names are Ahmed Mahmodi and Borhan Khodamoradi.
